St Andrews Aquarium is around a 10-minute drive from our lodges. It’s a popular visitor attraction in the area, home to hundreds of species of animal. On your visit, you’ll learn about the animals, their habitats, and the impacts of climate change upon them. There are animal feeding sessions and talks on throughout the day, and there’s also a cafe and gift shop on site.

There are lots of different animals at St Andrews Aquarium. Of course, there are many species of sea creatures, including turtles, frogs, piranha, penguins, sharks, rays and tropical fish. But there are also land animals, such as meerkats, marmosets, tarantulas and iguanas. The daily feeding sessions and talks are full of interesting facts. Ask questions and learn all about the different animals by chatting to the knowledgeable keepers during your fun-packed visit. You can also book feeding experiences, which allow you to get up close and feed the penguins and meerkats.

Find Out MoreWe stayed in lodge 4 which was by far the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in, immaculate, spacious, so well equipped. The books, DVDs and board games were an extra touch and came in handy for some family time after exploring during the day. The surrounding area is beautiful and so many things to see and do nearby. West Sands beach is clean and beautiful and Bishop’s Wood and Craigtoun Country Park about a mile away are both worth a look. There are so many things we didn’t get chance to explore so I think we will be back. I think we will struggle to find any other accomodation as nice as this. Many thanks to Anne and the team.
