What to see at the World Golf Museum

The story of golf is told right from the start. Discover how this ‘ball and stick game’ evolved into one of the most popular sports in the world. Just as interesting is the evolution of clothing worn to play golf!

With an immersive experience, relive some of the most exciting and iconic moments of golf. There’s even an interactive putting green which you can play. And for when you get peckish, relax at the in-house restaurant and bar! Even as you eat their local and seasonal dishes, you will be surrounded by artefacts of the game including clubs and trophies. Check out the Niblick opening times and menu samples here.

Through the stories of men and women who also love the game, golf will never look the same to you again.

Special events

Make sure you take a look at the What’s On page before you plan your visit. Special exhibitions are usually planned months in advance. This will give you the opportunity to visit just when something particularly piques your interest.

Previous exhibitions have included ‘Pass It On: Women’s Experiences in Golf’ which told the story of how inclusivity in golf has developed over the centuries.

There are also regular activities for the whole family, including lego play. The museum also has seasonal events, including festive crafts around Christmas. Check out their calendar and book in advance.

Testimonials

Just returned from a fantastic relaxing break at lodge 1 at Elderburn Lodges.
The lodge really is a home from home and the setup of the lodge is great for 2 couples having the lovely spacious shared central areas but the bedrooms are spaced well apart.
The lodge was spotless and well equipped and some of the little extras within the lodge were excellent.
The location is ideal for visiting St Andrews and the lovely Fife coast.
The visitors book within the lodge was full of reviews from returning customers and we would highly recommend these lodges and look forward to our next visit.
